Catriona Murphy

As a key member of our Admissions Team, Catriona's experiences studying abroad and working with young people allow her to relate to our community of international students.
Catriona graduated with a degree in Spanish and Italian from Durham University, a Russell Group institution in the UK. She also studied at the University of Salamanca and in Florence during her degree, giving her firsthand insight into the academic and cultural transitions faced by students studying internationally. After completing her degree, Catriona returned to Italy and taught English at schools in Lombardy.
Today, in addition to her role at Academic Families, Catriona also volunteers as a Youth Worker at charity-run summer camps in Scotland that welcome children from all over the world. Her commitment to student wellbeing is reflected in her training in Child Protection and Mental Health First Aid. She is also a British Council Certified Counsellor.
Catriona is dedicated to ensuring every student feels prepared and supported as they transition into higher education.
