Harrogate Ladies’ College is one of the UK’s leading schools for girls. The school was established in 1893 and has been leading the way in educating inspirational women for the last 130 years. As an all-girls school, Harrogate Ladies’ College gives girls the freedom to be themselves, to grow in confidence and self-esteem. The school aims to inspire the next generation of women to be brave, to be bold, to challenge perceptions and to realise that anything is possible with hard work, determination and perseverance. The school is passionate about empowering girls and helping to close the gender gap. The school has a particular strength in STEM related subjects and also runs a Women in Science & Engineering (WiSE) programme. Pupils regularly go on to study science and engineering related degree courses. The school has a dedicated Business School offering curricular and extra-curricular programmes that prepare pupils for business related careers and university courses. Creative Arts are also very strong at the school with pupils regularly going on to study Art and Fashion Design at university.

The school’s Chapel Choir is recognised as one of the top school choir’s in the UK (2nd place in the UK School Choir of the Year competition). The choir has been invited to sing across Europe including Venice, Prague and Barcelona cathedrals.
