School profile

Trinity College School is a co-educational boarding community of diverse learners focused on cultivating their passions and succeeding within their own area of expertise. Located one hour east of Toronto, the TCS community is blessed with a 100 acre campus of green fields and outstanding facilities. Established in 1865, TCS places a balanced emphasis on academics, service learning, athletics and the arts – as both a long-held TCS tradition and a rethought, reinvigorated approach to 21st century education. At the end of the day however, it is the caring and genuine community that makes TCS a home to over 275 boarding students from over 30 countries around the world.

Best known for...

At TCS, each student is valued for what they uniquely bring to the community because individuality matters at the school. TCS attracts motivated students locally, nationally, and internationally because it respects each person as it does their cultures. The school's students are surrounded by people who only want the best for them. TCS supports them to find their personal path so that they’re ready to realise their potential. Graduates develop that rare confidence that comes from knowing that they have been deeply understood and they start what’s next truly valuing themselves as well as others.

We're here to help

We offer honest advice to help you find the best boarding school for your child.

Our team provides exactly the kind of support for your child that we would want if we were sending our children overseas, and in fact, all of our staff have direct, personal experience with boarding schools.

We visit schools regularly and know them inside and out – the atmosphere they offer, the academic and social environment your child will be in - so we know where your child will fit in best.

Have a question?

Academic Families Director speaking to a Kazakh student

Choosing the best education for your child leads many families to consider overseas schools and universities. However, it is not an easy decision to make.

Our team works hard to understand the needs and strengths of your child, and then match them to the boarding school best suited to their requirements. We also support students throughout their time at school.

Quality you can trust

Academic Families has personal and professional experience with boarding schools. Many of our staff attended boarding schools themselves when they were young or have worked in them. We have all lived overseas and most of us are mothers, so we understand how important it is to find the very best education for every child no matter where that might be in the world.

From our headquarters in Edinburgh to our local staff across the UK, our team regularly visits hundreds of British schools. Our excellent knowledge of the UK education system, accreditation by the Boarding School Association (BSA) and certification from the British Council means we understand UK boarding education from the inside and out, and know how to ensure the best education for each child.

In addition, our guardianship service has been Gold accredited by AEGIS (the Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students) since 2016 and also by the BSA, so you know, with Academic Families, you're guaranteed to have the best local support anywhere in the UK.

Moreover, our team are trained MHFA Mental Health First Aiders so we are qualified to support our students with any wellbeing and mental health concerns.
