Durham School forms part of the Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation which was founded in 1414 in the beautiful historic city of Durham. The Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation is made up of the Chorister School (for pupils aged 3-11) and Durham School (for pupils aged 11-18), both of which are located in the cathedral city of Durham, a short distance apart. Durham School provides an excellent academic programme and a multitude of opportunities in sports and the arts, particularly within music.
Durham School is well known for its drama and sport, but most notably its music. With the Chorister School making up the younger student population, and the school’s proximity to Durham Cathedral, music forms an important part of school life.
