Taunton School was founded in 1847 and is situated within a 56-acre campus in Somerset, in the South West of England. Originally a school for boys, Taunton School became fully co-educational in 1973.
Taunton School is well-known for its impressive sports facilities and sporting programme. The school has 3 indoor sporting venues, 2 swimming pools, a gym, 8 netball courts, 2 Astro-turf pitches, a dance studio, climbing wall and pitches for rugby, football and cricket. There are almost fifteen different sporting activities available to students including a Tennis Academy that runs throughout the whole school year. Students have access to coaching sessions and 1:1 training sessions 7 days a week, at any point in the school year. Taunton also offers a very wide academic curriculum, so students can choose the qualification that is best suited to them.
