Academics

Bloxham School offers an academic programme that is tailored to every pupil to encourage a love of learning, whilst also helping them achieve their full potential. All students have access to a variety of resources and support options, such as weekly meetings with their tutors to discuss progress. Bloxham School follows the GCSE and A Level curriculum, with a wide range of subjects available. In 2021, 73% of A Level results were A* - B and 90% of A Level results were A* - C. Some popular university destinations include Loughborough, Bath, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester.

Activities & sports

Bloxham School offers more than 100 options to pupils within their broader curriculum, including sports, musical groups, outdoor activities and many more. The school’s sporting programme aims to be accessible to every pupil. More than 90% of students represent the school in competitive matches, and all pupils at the school participate in 3 coached sports sessions every week.

The creative arts are also a highly valued aspect of Bloxham’s well-rounded education programme, and the school was shortlisted for an Independent Schools of the Year Award for performing arts in 2020.

International student community

Bloxham School welcomes international pupils from all over the world. Although international students are a relatively small proportion of the school community at Bloxham, international pupils are always warmly welcomed and settle into life smoothly and quickly at Bloxham.

Overseas pupils who need support with their English language are provided one-to-one or group classes to improve their level of English. International pupils also have the opportunity to sit Cambridge ESOL exams if this is something that interests them.

Boarding life

Almost 75% of pupils at Bloxham School are boarding pupils. The school has 7 boarding houses – 4 houses for boys and 3 for girls. Bloxham School is inclusive and it prides itself on the high standard of pastoral care that is offered to every student. Being a slightly smaller school, every child is known and looked after on an individual basis. The boarding community at Bloxham provides a caring environment within which young people can flourish.
