About ACS Cobham International School

Mission statement

“Our purpose is to inspire the world's next global thinkers and doers.”

Academics

ACS Cobham’s varied and unique curriculum ensures that pupils are more than adequately prepared for university. In 2022, 98% of the graduating class passed their IB exams with the highest score being 44 out of a possible 45 points, and an average score of 36 compared to the world average of 32. For those who studied the AP programme, 79% of students got a score of 3 or more, with the average score being 3.4. After leaving ACS Cobham, pupils go on to study at universities across the UK, the USA and around the world, including some of the world’s most prestigious Higher Education institutions such as Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Activities & sports

As well as the school’s impressive curriculum, ACS Cobham offers a wide range of co-curricular activities to give students a balanced and holistic education. It offers four core sports which are available throughout the year – basketball, football, swimming and tennis. Alongside these core sports, there is a wide range of other seasonal sports including volleyball, golf, dance, rugby and track and field. Outstanding facilities on their 128-acre campus and opportunities to compete are available in all these sports.

Additionally, ACS Cobham has an extensive activities programme that covers a range of interests from chess and gardening, to climbing and the Duke of Edinburgh award. Opportunities to go abroad are also available, with one example being the school’s outreach programme to improve educational opportunities in Namibia. Other activities include cooking, horse riding, skateboarding, programming and journalism.

International student community

Being an international school, ACS Cobham welcomes around 1,300 students from more than 70 countries. Around 300 students are United States citizens, 300 are from the UK and 600-700 are from other countries around the world. With such an international community, students at ACS Cobham take on a global and respectful outlook.

Boarding life

ACS Cobham is home to excellent boarding facilities that include cinema rooms, study zones and spacious outdoor areas within the school’s incredible 128-acre campus. The school also has an on-location medical centre as well as 24-hour campus security. Alongside the range of extra-curricular activities and sports that are available to students, ACS Cobham organises monthly trips into London or to the countryside. Due to the high number of international boarding students who may not be native English speakers, ACS Cobham offers three English tuition programmes for prospective and enrolled students so that they can make the most of their education at the school.
