Does your child need a mobile plan?

It is very difficult to get a mobile contract unless you are a UK resident with a UK bank account.

Academic Families can provide a 12 month mobile SIM only plan to our students. These plans are available either with an e-sim or a physical sim if required.

These have unlimited data, minutes and texts in the UK and up to 25GB data per trip, unlimited texts and UK calls while in Europe.

The plan costs £450 for the 12 month contract.

Picture messages and international calls and texts can be made on WhatsApp, FaceTime and WeChat and not through the phone service.

Our contracts are with O2, however, if you cannot access the service at your school – rarely for very remote schools – then we will provide another network but it may not include the European roaming.
